Government Communication Professional Diploma

The professional diploma for government communication offered by the International Government Communication Centre in cooperation with several international universities is a major catalyst for the development of skills and knowledge of government communication officers, students majoring in communications and those interested in this field.

The diploma aims to introduce students to all subjects in the field of government communication, focusing on both the academic and applied aspects. Students are exposed to the latest concepts and theories and cases studies in government communication from around the world. One of the focus areas of the Diploma is communication through social media platforms. Students will learn about best strategies to utilise these platforms in order to enhance engagement between government entities and their audiences.

The diploma is suitable for communication, public relations, and media staff of private and governmental entities, as well as journalists and editors interested in this field.

“Leading the wave of Creativity in Government Communication” Workshop

The International Government Communication Centre, IGCC, under the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, SGMB, hosted a workshop at Sharjah’s International Book Fair, SIBF, The workshop “Leading the wave of Creativity in Government Communication” was held on 1st and 2nd November 2017 by and was conducted by the international motivational speaker Kevin Abdul Rahman.

This was the first IGCC partnership with the popular annual SIBF. The centre sought to enhance its role in developing government communication in the region, supporting it with new insights and ideas in this fast developing field.

The workshop targeted employees in the government communication sector and university students who are looking to embrace government communication as a career and discussed the ways of changing one’s way of thinking and unleashing their creative potential.

“Strategic Government Engagement through Social Media” workshop

The International Government Communication Centre (IGCC) has curated a workshop titled ‘Strategic Government Engagement through Social Media’, on October 3-4, 2018 at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah.

The workshop was aimed at training participants to excel in the contemporary digital environment and at providing them with social media strategic planning skills, by using methods and techniques that are based upon public data.

The workshop educated the participants on advanced technologies that are comprised in social media platforms worldwide and the finest methods of harnessing them. Kujawski showcased the best international practices in the field, by highlighting an array of studies, models and examples of elaborate plans and strategies, as well as monitoring and measuring the performance of social media platforms and their impact on the business environment.
