Green Chair
The Green Chair is a quality initiative launched by the International Government Communication Centre (IGCC) during the 2nd International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2013), with the aim of promoting communication between youth, officials and decision makers within the UAE community. It provides a platform for young people to express their views on issues discussed at the forum and related to its sessions. It seeks to use these views to find solutions to problems that communities can face in communicating with their governments.
The idea of this initiative emerged from the need to involve the youth, who represent the largest segment of society, in the mainstream discourse, as well as from the importance of their active participation in construction and development and their contribution to decision-making in a manner that serves their aspirations and hopes.
